Born out of a challenge to create the world’s most sustainable vehicle capable of self-sufficiently circumnavigating the globe from pole-to-pole, Fering was established in the United Kingdom in 2019.
Under the stewardship of founder and CTO, Ben Scott-Geddes (Ferrari, McLaren, Caparo – and architect of some of the world’s most iconic vehicles including the Mercedes SLR, La Ferrari, McLaren P1, and the record-breaking Caparo T1) and a team assembled from some of the greatest minds in the automotive, motorsport, EV and sustainable mobility ecosystems, Fering set about designing a vehicle able to operate across the most remote and hostile terrains on the planet, independently of expensive and complex resupplies with a futureproof ground up modular design – and always, with sustainability at its core.
The critically acclaimed and proudly British built Fering Pioneer was announced to the world in September 2021 with an article in Autocar magazine.

The ultra lightweight carbon-composite chassis is a single unit acting as a central spine with a hollow structure.

NONPAREIL DYNAMICS
Fully adjustable independent suspension with an onboard tyre inflation system with a dual spring stiffness for optimum on and off-road driving.

ONBOARD POWER REGENERATION
Four lithium titanium oxide batteries are charged onboard the vehicle itself by a customer choice of two regenerators (zero carbon fuel or hydrogen fuel cell powered).
​
With a silent running range of 80km, the Pioneer's onboard fuel storage houses sufficient fuel/hydrogen to facilitate the regenerator extending the range of the cells to over 5,000 miles.
